Position Summary
Located 45 minutes from the Nation’s Capital, nestled in a history-rich community of southern Maryland, The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is a two-time Aspen Award-winning institution (top 15% of Community Colleges) with academic programs in over 100 disciplines. This is an applicant pool for Tutors for College of Southern Maryland (CSM). Applicants in this category are interested in working with students in varying disciplines across the three Schools of Learning: School of Liberal Arts, School of Professional and Technical Studies and the School of Science and Health.
NOTE: CSM accepts resumes for part-time temporary employees for all areas at all times. There may or may not be a hiring need at this time in your area of interest. When applying, you are submitting your resume to an applicant pool. The Learning Support Services team will access the application pool when there is a hiring need.
College of Southern Maryland conducts background checks in order to ensure the safety and well-being of the College's staff and students. The final candidate for this position will be subject to the following background checks: Criminal History Check and Sex Offender Registry Check.
Minimum Education and Training
- Demonstrate mastery in content area being tutored as evidenced by a final course grade of B or higher, degree attainment, national certifications, and/or national test scores.
- Peer tutors, current CSM students must also be able to secure faculty recommendation
