General Summary

Oversees the planning, coordination and delivery of all AHA training programs for Odessa College AHA Training Center, schools, hospitals and community members. Serves as the primary resource and point of contact for AHA assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of classes, instructors, and participants. This is a part-time position which will require a flexible schedule and may include some evening and weekend coverage at the front desk. This position will primarily serve as the point of contact for all American Heart Association requests for service.

Specific Position Duties

Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Greet customers at the front desk and provide information to students.
Answer telephones and communicate effectively with prospective and current students.
Serve as a liaison between AHA Training Site customers.
Scheduling of instructors for a variety of classes.
Maintain instructor database and keep current all instructor files.
Organize and build courses;
Utilize registration software.
Accountable to ensure manikin integrity, infection prevention, and the availability of resource materials.
Issuance of AHA cards to Training Sites and Customers’.
Tracking and creation of utilization reports for AHA.
Maintain equipment and occasionally order supplies.
Familiarization with the PAM AHA Manual.
Update AHA guidelines into all AHA courses.
Communicates and holds update sessions on course material, policies, etc. to all instructors.
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to use online, web-based technology to submit document course related training documents and for regular communication.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirement: Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment, when working/moving equipment for set up, storage, and cleaning.
